We would like to share with you an update from this summer’s Surrey North Delta Fun Ball Tournament. Every year Grimm’s is fortunate enough to be included in the festivities of this long-standing league. As mentioned in an earlier post, this tournament was very near and dear to late Grimm’s employee, Maureen Chadwick. The season kicks off in June with A BBQ of Grimm’s Sizzlin’ Smokies, served up to hungry players by league volunteers. This year the Beer Gardens debuted their new burgundy, white and grey jerseys which happened to match perfectly with Grimm’s baseball caps gifted to the team! The season comes to a close in late August with a wrap-up party and the presentation of the Grimm’s Volunteer of the Year award. This award is presented in Maureen’s honour along with a gift basket filled with some of our favourite products to the season’s most dedicated volunteer. The league was more than happy to present this year’s award and basket to long time member Patsy Ewing.
