Prep: 10
Cook: 30-40 minutes
Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

● 1 pack Grimm’s Beer Bratwurst
● pizza dough
● ¼ cup flour (for stretching dough)
● ¼ cup pizza sauce
● 1 small onion, thinly sliced
● 1 tbsp olive oil
● 1 cup mozzarella or marble cheese, shredded
● 1 clove garlic, minced
● ½ tbsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat your BBQ to medium-high heat (400°F). Grill the Grimm’s Beer Bratwurst using indirect heat (not directly over the flame) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • While the sausages are cooking, heat the olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until caramelized and translucent.
  • Preheat your pizza stone or pizza pan in your oven or BBQ at 500°F
  • Lightly flour your work surface and stretch the pizza dough into a large round shape.
  • Use 4 sausages from the pack to create the stuffed crust. Place them around the outer edge of the dough, then fold the dough over the sausages and pinch to seal.
  • Slice the remaining sausage and set aside for the pizza topping.
  • In a small bowl, combine the pizza sauce, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  • Spread the seasoned pizza sauce evenly over the center of the dough, leaving the stuffed crust exposed.
  • Top with shredded cheese, caramelized onions, and sliced sausage. For extra flavor, add a little cheese inside or on top of the crust!
  • Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or pan and cook for 15 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice and serve. Enjoy!
